A Midlife Fitness Journey for Women Who Want a Fresh Start

Welcome to the TriYogaFit community! I’m your host, Natalie, and I’m thrilled to embark on this journey with you through the TriYogaFit podcast. If you’re a woman over 40 navigating the incredible shifts—physical, emotional, and mental—that come with this powerful stage of life, you’re in the right place.

For years, I’ve felt most comfortable behind the scenes. As an introvert, stepping into the spotlight has been a learning curve, and this podcast is one way I’m embracing visibility. My goal? To share insights and experiences that resonate with your life, offering a screen-free space where you can tune in and take what you need for your day.

If you’ve ever felt…

  • Frustrated by the ups and downs of your body
  • Drained by a lack of energy
  • Like your motivation has simply vanished

…then TriYogaFit is for you. Perhaps life took over, and your fitness routine took a backseat. Maybe you’re ready to redefine your relationship with your body and movement. Whatever your story, if you’re looking to come back stronger, calmer, and more grounded, you’ve found your tribe.

What to Expect on the TriYogaFit Podcast:

Each week, we’ll dive into topics that matter to us as women over 40:

  • Movement that Matters: From yoga and strength training to general fitness and wellbeing.
  • Triathlon for Beginners (and Beyond): Explore the world of swim, bike, and run.
  • Nourishment that Nurtures: Discover healthy eating strategies that work with your changing body, not against it.
  • Mindset and Motivation: Tackling hormone changes, body image, and staying consistent when life gets busy or you feel stuck.

Some episodes will be personal, where I share my own experiences – what’s working, what’s not, and the lessons I’m learning along the way. Other times, I’ll be joined by expert guests and inspiring women just like you, who are making strides in their own wellness journeys.

My Journey to TriYogaFit:

My path to TriYogaFit has been one of lifelong learning and a surprising evolution. Dance was my first love at age 7, a joyful form of expression. It wasn’t until my late teens and early 20s, hitting the gym and trying every class, that I realized the connection between movement and fitness. That “aha!” moment sparked a lasting passion.

Even though I never considered myself particularly athletic or flexible (dance background aside!), I embraced new challenges in my 30s with 5Ks, running, walking, and cycling. But as I approached 40, things began to shift – physically, mentally, emotionally. The weight loss goals of my 20s and 30s gave way to a new perspective, realizing that my perception of my body had often been skewed.

Then came a big bucket list item: a triathlon. The only catch? I had to learn to swim! That adventure led to joining a local club and, incredibly, my whole family joining in on the fun. Training and consistency became key, but then perimenopause threw a curveball. It was a new learning curve to understand what my body needed.

Crossing that triathlon finish line ignited a deeper love for training and understanding the science behind it. This led me to become a certified yoga teacher and triathlon coach. And yes, I also run my own business as a Web IT Consultant – often working behind the scenes!

TriYogaFit was born from wanting to integrate all the facets of my passion. It’s about triathlon, yoga, and overall fitness, but it’s also about the courage to try new things – a new habit, a new movement, a new perspective. After years of in-person coaching and teaching, life’s demands led me to hit reset on some of my own training goals. And that’s why I created this podcast: to build a supportive space where we can all grow, learn, and find inspiration together.
